Import participants
By importing participants, you can import new participants or modify existing ones. See Import custom fields to import values into custom fields of existing registrations.
Importing new participants
You can import new participants by first adding registrations. This can be done by adding an order through Atleta with multiple tickets, or by purchasing several (group) tickets via the registration form. It does not matter whether the registrations have been assigned or not. After adding the registrations, you can import personal data. This proceeds in the same manner as modifying existing participants (see below).
Modifying existing participants
Create a spreadsheet that looks as follows. In the first column, place the registration numbers that you can find in the export of registrations. Place the fields you wish to edit in the remaining columns (first name, gender, date of birth, etc.). To assign registrations, the following columns are mandatory: email address, first name, last name.
Registration number | Email address | First name | Last name | Date of birth |
101 | email1@atleta.cc | First name 1 | Last name 1 | 22-02-1992 |
102 | email2@atleta.cc | First name 2 | Last name 2 | 01-12-1978 |
103 | email3@atleta.cc | First name 3 | Last name 3 |
Save the file as CSV. You are now ready to offer it to Atleta. Atleta analyses the file after you have uploaded it for potential issues and shows a summary of this. If no issues are found, you can complete the import immediately. If issues are found, you have two options:
You can still proceed with the import, where the invalid rows will be skipped, and only the rows that are valid will be imported.
You correct the invalid rows in the file and then upload it again.
After the import is completed, you have the option to send a confirmation email.
Columns that can be imported
You can adopt the columns from the export of registrations (regardless of language). Below is an overview of the columns that can be imported. Columns that cannot be imported will be ignored. You can therefore re-import an export of registrations without first removing unnecessary columns.
