Mud, challenge, teamwork and festival atmosphere
Mud Masters is not just a sporting challenge. Nearly 100,000 people participate annually. And what makes it so special? André explains: it’s not about how good you are yourself, but about the togetherness and the fun.
"A lot of people, even those who don’t know each other, take on a challenge together. Through the obstacles, you have to work together, and that creates a really awesome atmosphere on the course."
This is exactly what has made Mud Masters great. But with so many participants, a practical problem also arises: how do you ensure that tens of thousands of registrations go smoothly, without anything going wrong?
Looking for a platform that grows with you.
Mud Masters has been working with Atleta for years for the registration of participants. But it was not just a random choice. André on what appealed to him: "You really notice that Atleta is a ticket platform, which is very much focused on sports."
What attracted him to Atleta? Two things you don't often see together:
A reliable, large platform. Just before an event, hundreds of people register at the same time. That must not go wrong. "Atleta is a large and stable platform. Very reliable, even at peak sales," says André.
But also truly accessible. "On the other hand, Atleta is small enough to be very accessible. We have personal contact, sometimes directly with the developers."
The things that really matter
In an event with so many participants, it's the details that matter. André mentions two things that were crucial for Mud Masters:
People must be able to choose their own start time. "For Mud Masters, it's very important that you can choose the right start time and sign up for it."
Company teams must have it easy. Many companies participate with Mud Masters as a team outing and Atleta assists with that. "Company teams can pay per invoice. But it's also important that it is made easy for the team captain. That one person from the company can very easily register the whole team and it goes without hassle."






Connect everything together
The links that Atleta developed become available for free for all customers.
"We have also been able to easily link Atleta to our email marketing platform (Mailchimp) and to the platform of our timing party."
Atleta also has a seamless integration with Supporta, a platform with many charities connected. "When purchasing a ticket participants can immediately start a charity action." says André.
Fifteen years and still not finished
Mud Masters has now been around for almost 15 years. That means André and his team are constantly working on improvements and innovations. "We always try to improve and innovate," he says. "And for that, you need your ticketing partner to be on the same wavelength."
That is what Atleta does, not just a tool but truly a partner. "We look forward positively to continuing in the coming years with Atleta," André concludes.
After 15 years of Mud Masters, he knows: it’s not about the platform itself. It’s about not having to worry about the registrations so you can focus on what really matters; creating an event that makes people happy.
